Research Assistant

We're looking for a Research Assistant whose main responsibility is to support the day-to-day functioning of a collaborative and cutting edge research immunology laboratory that studies the innate and adaptive immune response to infection and cancer. Previous lab experience doing wet bench research work is required. Compensation is commensurate with research experience. The main responsibilities are to:

  • Assist with daily operations.

  • Order supplies.

  • Keep lab supplies stocked and equipment in working condition.

  • Prepare stock solutions and tissue culture media supplements.

  • Maintain a database of lab expenses including supply purchases and facilities and core costs. Provide PI with monthly accounting of spending.

  • Keep databases of lab reagents (chemicals, antibodies, plasmids and frozen cells).

  • Oversee animal colony (including breeding and maintenance of knockout lines) and keeping track of animal inventory and cage counts.

  • Train new employees on lab procedures, safety and methods.

  • Assist with ensuring compliance with laboratory safety regulations.

  • Arrange transfer of materials to and from other labs.

  • Submit all published plasmids to Addgene.

  • Assist with protein purification, cell culture, genotyping, and cloning.

Lab Manager

We're looking for a Lab Manager whose main responsibility is to support the day-to-day functioning of a collaborative and cutting edge research immunology laboratory that studies the innate and adaptive immune response to infection and cancer. At least 2 year's experience as a research assistant doing wet bench lab work or at least 1 year experience as a lab manager is required. The main responsibilities are to:

  • Assist with daily operations.

  • Order supplies.

  • Keep lab supplies stocked and equipment in working condition.

  • Prepare stock solutions and tissue culture media supplements.

  • Maintain a database of lab expenses including supply purchases and facilities and core costs. Provide PI with monthly accounting of spending.
